We have been back on the K101 project for Lonerock since April of this year , the lateral support is done at heights of 5m and does have its challenges. Despite progress being slow we will be finalising the first half of the project within the next 3 weeks. This will surely be a remarkable wall once completed.

GeoCiv was elected to do Micro piles for the water treatment plant on Kusile, the Client had huge issues with a building that was settling and had to vacate the premises, with limited headroom and tight corners, the team managed to complete the project and hand over to the building contractor for the next scope of works. As always GeoCiv strives to be the best in the business producing quality work and innovative geotechnical solutions.

Another phase of Oxford Parks completed. The GeoCiv team did exceptionally well on this project and delivered a quality product despite all the unknows. Through the rain and hail, unknown service and difficult neighbours, the GeoCiv team completed the task at hand and handed over a visually pleasing final basement to the building contractor 7days ahead of programme.

After a lengthy delay on getting wayleaves approved by the client since we established in November 2023, we finally got the go ahead in February 2024. We have completed the permanent lateral support wall and its looking great. We have installed 50no structural piles on average 20m deep and have 3 weeks remaining on the contract to install the remainder of the piles.
We were very fortunate to not have any damages or injuries during the heavy wind and rainstorm that hit Cape Town and the GeoCiv team manage to complete this one in their rain suits.
Sandown – Senior Circle Living March 2024 Current Lateral Support arches and anchors

Phase 3 of Senior Circle Living is the 3rd and final building of the retirement home consisting of luxury apartments. The GeoCiv team completed the lateral support in only 2 weeks and is now awaiting on platform handover to install the structural piles.
Clifton May 2024 June 2024 100m2 of Working at Height Lateral Support
The GeoCiv team installed several rock bolts in a municipal reserve in Clifton, Cape Town under live traffic conditions. The team did extremely well under the circumstances and dealing with a very difficult client that scrutinised everything we did.
Well done GeoCiv team for delivery a lateral support wall that blends into the natural environment.
Even though it is small, it still shows attention to detail and a great finish.

One of our clients phoned us and requested a design on a lateral support wall with a very specific finish, as always, we provide the design and added some flare to the required end product.
The Team completed the project 1 week ahead of the program.

Back in Johannesburg for the second Phase of the Transnet building upgrade with one of our clients. This project proves to be quite a challenge due to restricted access, but no challenge is to Big for the GeoCiv Team.

In the hart of Waterfall, The Ingress is getting an upgrade.
GeoCiv had to install 6no micro piles in a basement with limited headroom of 2.3m.
Some great innovation by the management to build an ultra mobile drilling rig to install these 6no micro piles in rock within a week.

We were appointed to do 140 CFA piles with a 250mm diameter. The construction of the piles will be for a warehouse extension for Alpla , The first phase of this project is complete, and we should resume with the second phase towards the middle of August 2024.

Another project started in the Cape Town rainy season and another project in Cape Town dominated by the GeoCiv team. Even with the week delay we had due to the rain our team dug deep, push some extra hours and managed to keep this one on the client’s programme.
Our new CH450 outperformed our expirations by a mile and did so safely.

A respected client of ours requested our assistance to do some underpinning for a building that had some settlement in Boksburg, as always GeoCiv did not hesitate to rise to the challenge and assist the client with their geotechnical requirements. All in a day’s work for the GeoCiv Team.

We had the opportunity to do some work for the Ivory coast Embassy in Pretoria, the Client requested our services to assist with some lateral support.
The overall site was small and quite a challenge as we had to do the work during the time that the Earthworks contractor was on site.

Balwin Green Creek is an ever-developing green rated estate.
We have now piled blocks 33 and 34. This site is challenging due to soil conditions and hidden services.
Temporary services are being installed by Balwin as the estate grows to ensure water availability and working ablutions.
