Sprayed Concrete (Shotcrete)
Sprayed concrete is simply the process of placing concrete by means of high pressure pneumatic equipment used together with a concrete pump. This process allows us to apply concrete in hard-to-get places without the use of shutters. The concrete is placed at a high velocity creating compacted concrete and together with reinforcing achieves very high strength.
This process can be done by using a wet or dry concrete mix and is applicable in the following scenarios:
- Shotcrete for Lateral support walls as part of a compound system for in situ retaining walls
- Shotcrete for erosion control
- Concrete repair work for example silo wearing courses and relining of sidewalls
